Man Struck By Train In Norwalk: Report

First responders from the Norwalk Fire Department found the man lying alongside the tracks at the Catherine Street Railroad Crossing.

NORWALK, CT — A man has been hospitalized after being struck by a train early Saturday morning.

First responders from the Norwalk Fire Department found the man lying alongside the tracks at the Catherine Street Railroad Crossing, with serious injuries to his right arm and right leg. The accident happened around 12:48 a.m.

"The victim was semi-conscious when firefighters and paramedics placed him into the ambulance for transport to Norwalk Hospital," according to Deputy Chief Edward Prescott
