Msgr. Walter C. Orlowski​, Longtime Norwalk Pastor, Dies​

NORWALK, CT — Msgr. Walter C. Orlowski, pastor at St. Matthew Church in Norwalk for the past 26 years, died Monday at the age of 68, the church announced.

Orlowski became an ordained priest more than 40 years ago, and was considered "one of the finest, most loving, caring priests of the Diocese [of Bridgeport]."

"It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we inform you of the passing away of our dearly beloved Pastor, Msgr. Walter C. Orlowski, at the age of 68, this morning," wrote Fr. Sunil Pereira in a statement. "We are totally heartbroken to give you this sad news."

Services for Orlowski will be announced once arrangements are finalized.
