Norwalk Man Arrested After Firing Guns On 4th Of July: Report
The intoxicated man was apparently celebrating the holiday.
NORWALK, CT — A 53-year-old Norwalk man, who police said was intoxicated at the time, was arrested on reckless endangerment and other charges on July 4 after he fired several guns into Long Island Sound, reports The Hour.
Dwight St. John, of Tonetta Circle in the city's Marvin Beach section, was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. after neighbors reported hearing gunshots.
St. John was found in the backyard of a waterfront home on the street that he used to own, and told police he had gone to the home to shoot.

Police confiscated two handguns and a shotgun from St. John, and also charged him with illegal discharge of a firearm and criminal trespass. He was held in lieu of bail of $25,000 and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on July 15.
