Norwalk, CT, August 10, 2020– The Norwalk Public Library is pleased to join with the Norwalk River Watershed Association for another live, nature-friendly webinar - Attracting Butterflies to Your Garden and Yard! - presented by lepidopterist Victor DeMasi, on Thursday, August 20, at 12 noon, on Zoom. Learn about our area’s butterflies and moths, and which plants they need in order to survive and thrive, from lepidopterist Victor DeMasi, research affiliate for Yale’s Peabody Museum of Natural History, and NRWA Advisory Board member, who has been studying butterflies and moths in the Norwalk River Valley since 1977.

Victor DeMasi lives near the Norwalk River in Redding, on an old dairy farm that he has managed as a pollinator habitat for over 40 years. He conducts an annual monarch count, and is currently collecting specimens for a new collection of pollinators from the area, for the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History.
