Norwalk Police Department's 'National Night Out' Aug. 6

The family friendly annual event offers the public a chance to meet and interact with police officers in a relaxed and fun setting.

NORWALK, CT — The third annual Norwalk Police Department's "National Night Out" event is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, on Monroe Street in South Norwalk.

The free family friendly event features food, a funzone, games, music and other activities.

As a result, the following streets will be temporarily closed from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.:

  • S. Main Street between Elizabeth and Monroe streets
  • Monroe Street between S. Main and Chestnut streets

Motorists should use alternate routes during those hours.
