Norwalk's Fat Cat Pizza Co. To Close
The Wall Street-based pizzeria and wine bar was a Norwalk staple for 16 years.
NORWALK, CT — One of Norwalk's popular pizzerias is calling it quits after 16 years.
Fat Cat Pizza Co. on Wall Street, which had received high marks from Connecticut Magazine and others, is closing this month because the building that housed it is being sold.
"Cat’s outta the bag and the building…our time here in the Twin City Building is coming to a close," wrote Fat Cat's principals this week on Facebook. "Our space has been sold and so with heavy hearts but cool heads we are here in the last weeks of Fat Cat on Wall Street."

The pizzeria and wine bar specialized in delicious thin-crust pies, served up in the brick-walled historic building near East Avenue.
Whether there will be another Fat Cat spot in the area in the future is not known, as the owners plan to take some time before making a decision.

But as they prepare to close up shop, they offered a warm thank you to the patrons who supported the restaurant for years.
"We are happy for the owners for realizing the sale of the restaurant space and wish the very best experience to the new owners," they said. "This is our neighborhood in more ways than one and we will always be cheering it on. Where our Fat Cat is headed next is yet unknown, we’ll dwell in the possibilities for a while but for now we are already missing this space, the place, our team, our neighbors and YOU so come say hi and stay tuned for our love letter to the last sixteen years here and to all of the people who have crossed our path."
