Norwalk's March Officer of the Month Saved a Victim's Life
Norwalk Police Officer Mark Kucky's actions saved the man's life, emergency crew members said.

Norwalk Police Officer Mark Kucky was called to the scene of a fight on March 3 and was the first officer on the scene when he saw a 22-year-old man bleeding and suffering from a head injury, the Hour reported.
Kucky found stab wounds in the man’s chest and stomach and cared for him until an ambulance arrived, and emergency crew members who took the victim to the hospital said Kucky’s fast reaction ultimately saved the man’s life, according to the report.
For his alertness and ctions at the scene (in the area of South Main and Grove streets), Kucky has been named Norwalk Police Officer of the Month for March by the Norwalk Police Commission.

Kucky received the award at Wednesday’s Police Commission meeting, and he’s been nominated to receive a Medal of Merit, as well, for his actions during the incident.
