At the time of his death, Eric was finishing up his final semester of Law School at Quinnipiac University.

The following obituary of Norwalk resident Eric Owen Spielman, 29, is from Magner Funeral Home:

Eric Owen Spielman, the beloved son of Mary and Bill Spielman passed away on January 13th at the age of 29. Eric was born and raised in Norwalk, graduating from All Saints, Trinity Catholic High School and received his undergraduate degree at Loyola University. At the time of his death, Eric was finishing up his final semester of Law School at Quinnipiac University.

Eric was a compassionate, brilliant, and witty person whose smile could light up a room.
He was naturally gifted regularly achieving honors throughout the duration of his academic
career. Eric’s talents would have led him to go on to a long and successful career as a lawyer.
His large number of friends and colleagues were a testament to his outgoing personality, strong
work ethic, and most importantly his big heart. He truly will be missed by so many.
Eric had numerous passions, but will always be remembered for his love of food, fashion
and having fun. Eric loved to frequent new restaurants, actively seeking out the best places for
good burgers and pizza. His fashion sense was second to none. From his love for Polo, to his
love for funky socks, we all will greatly miss seeing what Eric was going to wear that day. When
he was not busy with Law School, he loved to travel, play video games and watch Law and
Order.
