Jane Goldstein, 77, of Norwalk, beloved wife of Gerald Goldstein, passed away on December 16, 2020 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.

She was born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Sidney and Ruth (Schwarz) Gilbert. She worked for Perkin Elmer for more than 20 years, transitioning from research to training and marketing. After retiring from Perkin Elmer, she worked in the Children’s Department at the Norwalk Public Library where she ran science programs and other activities.

Jane was a mentor with Norwalk Public Schools and volunteered at Norwalk Hospital. She enjoyed tai chi in Westport, Weston, and Norwalk, Calf Pasture Beach, Broadway and local theater, and dance. She loved knitting and made many beautiful sweaters, hats, and blankets for children of family and friends as well as for charity.

In addition to her loving husband Gerald, Jane is survived by their son Mark Ozdoba, daughter and son-in-law Deborah and John McGarvey, and adored granddaughter Ruby McGarvey, as well as a brother, Jeremy Gilbert and his wife Linda, sister-in-law Ellen Goldstein, and loving nieces and nephews.

Jane’s family will gather on Sunday, December 20 at 11AM at Old Montefiore Cemetery in Queens, NY, for Graveside services to be held promptly at 11:30AM.
