Pet Valu Raises More Than $56,000 for the Animal Cancer Foundation

NORWALK, CT - From the desk of Pet Valu: Pet Valu, a premium pet supplies and accessories chain, recently presented a check for $56,407.12 to the Norwalk-based Animal Cancer Foundation at its location in Milford. The company partnered with the foundation to hold its annual Come Clean for Cancer fundraiser at Pet Valu stores nationwide on Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21, 2017. Proceeds from the chain’s in-store dog washing stations were donated to the foundation.

“It’s been an honor to have the opportunity to once again partner with the Animal Cancer Foundation to support pet health,” said Joe Dent, vice president and U.S. general manager for Pet Valu. “The health of our pets is an important issue for all pet owners, and we are proud to help the Animal Cancer Foundation make a difference in finding a cure for cancer in animals.”

Through its partnership with the Animal Cancer Foundation, Pet Valu continued its dedication to helping local pets in need. The company hosts many fundraisers and donation drives throughout the year as part of its commitment to giving back to the communities it serves. This year’s “Come Clean for Cancer” event marked the fourth partnership between Pet Valu and the Animal Cancer Foundation. More than $107,000 has been raised since the inaugural fundraiser in 2014.
