Police Seek ID Of Driver Who Struck Young Bicyclist In Norwalk
Norwalk police are asking for the public's help identifying a driver in a hit and run incident who struck a juvenile bicyclist.

NORWALK, CT — Norwalk police are asking for the public's help identifying a driver in a hit and run incident who struck a juvenile bicyclist at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Taylor Avenue on June 11.
In a news release Thursday, Police Sgt. Sofia Gulino said the juvenile was riding a bicycle north on Taylor Avenue around 8:30 p.m.and proceeded through a green traffic light when a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction made a left turn onto Connecticut Avenue and struck the juvenile.
The juvenile rolled onto the hood of the vehicle and fell to the ground as the bicycle was run over by the vehicle and got stuck underneath, Gulino said. The vehicle then reversed, dislodged the bike and headed east on Connecticut Avenue.

Gulino said the juvenile suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police describe the driver as a man in his 60's with a gray beard who was wearing a black hat at the time of the incident. He was driving a Toyota Rav4 with orange plates, possibly a New York registration, with front end damage and a right broken headlight.
