
A 27-year-old Norwalk resident was arrested on Sunday after allegedly hitting two vehicles, including a police car, while reportedly driving under the influence, according to Norwalk Police.
Svetlana Zaloznaja of 23 Seaview Ave. allegedly crashed into a police officer's vehicle while the officer was in the car Sunday at about 1:45 a.m. She reportedly drove away from the scene and onto Flax Hill Road, leaving behind her fender with her license plate still attached, according to police.
She then reportedly struck another car that was stopped at a stop sign on Flax Hill Road, but again kept driving as police pursued her, police said. Police located her vehicle as it was turning onto Highland Avenue, but Zaloznaja reportedly continued driving, according to police.

Her car reportedly stopped near Charcoal Road because her front tires and the front of her car appeared to be damaged, according to police.
Zaloznaja allegedly refused to open the door when an officer came to her car until finally the officer broke the driver's side window to get her out and turn the car off, police said. Zaloznaja sustained no injuries, according to police.

She failed a field sobriety test at the scene and was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, failure to drive in the proper lane, failure to bring motor vehicle to a full stop, engaging in police pursuit, evading responsibility, failure to carry registration and an insurance ID card and reckless driving, according to the Norwalk Police arrest log.
Her bond has been set for $5,000 and her court date is scheduled to be July 18, according to the log.
