Stabbing At Norwalk Hospital Parking Lot Under Investigation: PD
The victim was picking up a patient at the hospital when he was stabbed twice, police said.
NORWALK, CT — A man was stabbed while picking up a patient from Norwalk Hospital, police said. At 10:42 a.m. police responded to the hospital for a stabbing that occurred in the parking lot of the hospital, police said.
The victim parked his vehicle in a Norwalk Hospital parking lot off of Rhodonolia Drive, and was preparing to receive a patient who was in the process of being discharged, police said.
The victim was loading the patient’s items into the back of a vehicle when a man, unknown to the victim, rushed the victim, stabbing him twice, police said.

The man ran in the direction of Woodbury Avenue, while the victim made his way back into the hospital for emergency care, police said. Multiple police officers responded to the area in search of the suspect, who was described as a Black man in his mid-20’s, possible about 5’8”, short hair style, with a black hooded sweatshirt and brownish sweatpants, police said in a news release.
The victim is being treated for serious physical injury and is expected to recover, police said. It is unclear why the victim was attacked at this time, police said.
