Truck Illegally On The Merritt Hits Bridge In Norwalk: State PD

NORWALK, CT — A truck that state police said was not supposed to be on the Merritt Parkway smashed into an overpass near exit 40 in Norwalk on Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

No injuries were reported in the northbound crash. Commercial vehicles are prohibited from traveling on the historic thruway, as are vehicles taller than 8 feet, and vehicles longer than 24 feet.
