Water Main Repaired At Calf Pasture Beach In Norwalk: UPDATE

The city has turned off water to all of the park as a result.

Update: According to the city's Facebook page, the pipe was repaired and water service was officially restored to the beach around 8 p.m.

NORWALK, CT — A water main break was reported Monday afternoon at Calf Pasture Beach, and the city has turned off water to all of the park as a result.

According to a post on the city's Facebook page, facilities such as restrooms and showers are currently unavailable. Portable toilets, however, are still available for guests to use.

"Due to the heat and humidity, we are keeping the beach open while we make the repairs, but residents are advised that there is no water on site," the post reads.

City officials also noted they are excavating "to reach and repair the damaged pipe."
