Wild Turkey Crashes Through Window of Norwalk Home
No injuries were reported in the March 26 incident, according to Norwalk police.
NORWALK, CT — A large wild turkey crashed through the dining room window of a Huckleberry Drive home in Norwalk on March 26, startling the family inside, according to Norwalk police.
The bird smashed through the window at about 7:15 p.m., leaving shattered glass and feathers in its wake.
No injuries were reported, but the family's dog chased it around the house before police arrived to help remove it, authorities said.

"The officer located the turkey hiding behind a chair in the living room," said Norwalk Police Sgt. Sofia Gulino in a statement. "The officer managed to pin the turkey against the wall with a blanket and push it into a large bucket, removing the turkey from the house."
The Hour writes that the Gonias family had seen two turkeys walking in the yard before one crashed through the dining room window. Damage to the window reportedly will cost about $400 to repair.

The officer, Andrew Roncinske, released the turkey a safe distance down the road, and the bird left on its own accord.
