Winter Hours Announced for Norwalk Yard Waste Site

NORWALK, CT — The city's yard waste site at 15 South Smith St. is closed for the winter season except for Wednesdays (weather permitting) and for two weeks in January for Christmas tree and other yard waste disposal, according to the Norwalk Department of Public Works.

The two weeks in January 2017 for Christmas tree and yard waste drop-off are:

• Monday January 9, 2017 – Saturday January 14, 2017
• Monday January 23, 2017 – Saturday January 28, 2017

During those two weeks, the site's hours will be
Hours for the Yard Waste Site, during the special drop off weeks in January 2017, will be Monday thru Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (closes for lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m., approximately); and on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Yard Waste Site will reopen for the Spring Season on Monday April 3, 2017.
