Community Companion Home Providers Sought

The Department of Developmental Services is looking for people who may be interested in opening their homes as Community Companion Home Providers.

Community Companion Home Providers offer a safe and nurturing home by giving guidance and support to an individual with an intellectual disability that resides with them. CCH Providers assist the individual to identify goals and take steps toward accomplishing them. Providers have access to a team of support, including Nursing, Behavioral Supports, Case Management and monthly quality monitoring. CCH Providers are trained in both agency, and person specific trainings, such as Abuse & Neglect, CPR, First Aid, etc. Providers are reimbursed for room and board, as well as provided monies to care for the individual.

If you or someone you know has the caring, patience, and dedication to open their home, please contact the CCH Program for more information at (203) 294-5069.
