
OXFORD, CT — Three people were killed in a tragic house fire in Oxford just before midnight, according to State Police. The fire occurred at 63 O'Neill Drive and when fire crews responded the home was already fully engulfed in flames. The fire began at 11:22 p.m.
The home was destroyed in the blaze, NBC Connecticut reports. No other homes were damaged in the fire. The names of the deceased have not yet been released.
State Police say it has been confirmed that there are three fatalities as a result of the fire. The Medical Examiner is responding to the scene. The case is being investigated by Oxford Police and the CT State Police Major Crimes is on scene assisting along with CSP FEIU and the local fire marshal. CSP FEIU will assist by determining the cause and origin of the fire. There are no further details at this time.
