OXFORD, CT — The Naugamatic Watch Company is closed indefinitely after its owner Werner Janer, 56, has been arrested in California and is currently out on a $50,000 bond, the Republican-American reports.

Janer has been charged with several offenses in California connected to a real estate scheme, the Rep-Am has reported.

All of the high-end watches have been removed from their display cases at the Oxford Road shop and the shop is largely empty now, the Rep-Am reports.
