Brothers Killed In Oxford Triple Fatal Fire Identified: UPDATE
A tragic fire late Saturday resulted in the death of three people.

OXFORD, CT — Two brothers, Karl Maseizik, 54, and Chris “Bubs” Maseizik, 53, and Nanci N. Southwell, 71, of 63 O’Neill Road, have been identified as the three people killed in a tragic fire in Oxford late Saturday, according to the Carpino Funeral Home of Southbury and Connecticut State Police.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Oxford Police and Connecticut State Police. According to the Carpino Funeral Home, "The family is seeking donations to defray the costs related to the services. Donations can be made through this tribute page." Click here to consider a donation.
The three victims were trapped inside the home Saturday night. Ronnie Crisp of Southbury, who was at a nearby home when the fire broke out, told WFSB 3 TV that “I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. It was just flame after flame.” Neighbors said the brothers were very friendly and always willing to offer to those in need, WFSB 3 TV reports.

OXFORD - Christopher "Bubs" Maseizik, 53, departed this life on March 23, 2019 at his home following a tragic house fire. He was inseparable from his brother Karl who also died in the fire.
Christopher was born in Bridgeport on June 2, 1965 to the late Frederick and Adella Ann (Castle) Maseizik.

He was a fan of motor cross and watching racing. He was a fisherman who loved his dogs Lucky (Lucky Duck) and Benny. He will be remembered as a good friend who was always present and willing to listen. He had a great sense of humor and could always make those he cared about feel better despite the challenges that he faced. Chris was a culinary artist who was "the Italian spice king." He loved music and was a fan of Elvis, Johnny Cash and George Thorogood.
Christopher is survived by his sisters Brenda Maseizik of Shelton and Nancy Capponi (and her husband Frank) of Southbury; niece and nephews Melissa Hall and Michael Hall of Seymour; Michael and James Crowther of Southbury and a great nephew Evan Maza.

Karl was a gentle giant who was known as "Car Pile" by his friends. He was a "master auto technician" who worked for PC Auto Services in Woodbury. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, dirt bikes, quads and working on cars. He loved to talk and could go on for hours. He was a sci fi enthusiast who enjoyed Star Trek, Star Wars, Battle Star Galactica and the Sci Fi Channel. Karl was a guitar player who had performed with several local bands and played at Spin Stock, an event which he named.
Karl is survived by his sisters Brenda Maseizik of Shelton and Nancy Capponi (and her husband Frank) of Southbury; niece and nephews Melissa Hall and Michael Hall of Seymour; Michael and James Crowther of Southbury and a great nephew Evan Maza.
