Emily Yish passed away in April 2014 at the age of 19 after battling epilepsy. She graduated from Oxford High School in 2012 where she played basketball for four years and softball in her junior year. She had attended American International College in Springfield, Mass.
Emily had volunteered at Griffin Hospital in Derby and also volunteered for the Sound Tigers Booster Club. She had a passion for sports including the New York Yankees, the UConn Women’s Basketball Team, Bridgeport Sound Tigers and New York Islanders.
