Obituary: Anthony (Tony) Wayne Szerszen, 70, of Oxford
Anthony, an Air Force veteran, worked at Nasdaq as the Director of Data Configuration and as a realtor for Berkshire-Hathaway of Southbury.

OXFORD, CT - (From Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home) Anthony (Tony) Wayne Szerszen, 70, of Oxford passed away at Griffin Hospital on March 11, 2021.
Born in Bridgeport on May 21, 1950, he was a son of the late Joseph J. and Martha Nell Lumley Szerszen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Catherine Morrell Szerszen, his son Jason Szerszen (Danielle), daughter Carissa Jablonski (Adam), and stepchildren Katie Riccio (Tony), Colleen Visel, Christine Visel (Michael), John M. Visel (Lily), and Richard Visel (Nella).

Brother of Stan Szerszen (Suzanne), Jeff Szerszen (Susan), and Marcella Polozzolo (Joe). He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Giuseppe Riccio, Marcello Visel, Harlow and Wes Jablonski, and Ava, Drew, and Charlie Szerszen.
Anthony was a proud U.S. Veteran, having served in the Air Force. He worked at Nasdaq as the Director of Data Configuration, and also helped many people find their dream homes as a realtor for Berkshire-Hathaway of Southbury.

He was able to share his love of music as the Director of the Connecticut Yankee Chorus and as a participant in Barbershop-style chorus and quartets. While singing brought him great joy, it was spending quality time with his devoted wife Catherine and his loving family that made him happiest.
His wife Catherine extends her heartfelt appreciation for the quality of care, compassion and empathy provided by Dr. Gondalia, Dr. Gowda, Dr. Qaiser, Dr. Reihani, and the ICU nursing staff.Funeral Services for Anthony will be private.
