Oxford Business Owner Released From California Jail: Report
The local business owner was arrested earlier this year.

OXFORD, CT — Werner Janer, 56, who owns the Naugamatic Watch Company in Oxford was released from a California jail last week after posting a $50,000 bond, the Republican-American reports.
Janer and three others face money laundering, grand theft and additional charges for their role in an alleged real estate scam, the Rep-Am reports. The alleged scheme involved securing a $450,000 loan for a California property but authorities say the funds were spent elsewhere, the Republican-American reports.
