Oxford Dems Want to Showcase Town Potholes
Candidates for office say they want to show how bad the roads are.

Some candidates for public office like to so-called "pot shots" at their opponents. But the Democrats in Oxford are looking to take pothole shots this election season.
The Democratic candidates for municipal office say they "are asking everyone in the town to help them find out just how bad Oxford’s roads are."
First Selectman candidate David Heim, a Democrat, asked residents in a press release: “Is there is a dip, divot, depression, split, gully, or canyon in front of your house or along a road you travel frequently? If there is, send us a photo and give us the location of this little piece of bad road. The potholes can be on the far left, the extreme right, or the middle of the road—we don't care. You don’t even have to be a Democrat to join in. Good roads are everyone’s business, but bad roads are everyone’s problem. The Oxford Democrats are here to help solve problems and run Oxford right.”
