Oxford Dog Pound Investigated Over Alleged Theft of a Dog: Report
The pound will not open until the investigation concludes.

The Oxford dog pound has been shut down by First Selectman George R. Temple as State Police investigates the conduct of facility employees, the Republican-American reports.
The investigation centers on a complaint filed by a resident that Assistant Animal Control Officer Cori Wlasuk stole her dog four years ago, the Rep-Am reports.
Resident Vickie Tkacz said recently she saw a Newfoundland dog on Wlasuk’s Facebook page and claims it is hers, and she filed a police report, the Rep-Am reports. Tkacz said her dog got loose from her house in May 2011 and she thought it had been lost forever until recently, the Rep-Am reports.
