Oxford Elected Officials Sworn-In

OXFORD, CT — The newly-elected Board of Selectmen and other elected officials were sworn into office Monday night.

First Selectman George Temple was sworn in for his fifth term. Also sworn in were Selectman Arnold Jensen and newcomer Selectman Heather Haney.

“We are in a very important era in the Town of Oxford. When we got elected eight years ago, we had a vision for the future of Oxford," Temple said. "We are proud of our heritage but we must look forwardto a new direction. This does not mean that we forsake how we are defined, but rather
to adapt to a changing environment. We must grow wisely in harmony with our small-town charm.”
