It is with deep regret that the Oxford Fire Department announces the passing of Assistant Chief Andrew Coy.

Andrew grew up in Quaker Farms as his Father Doug was a member prior to Andy’s birth. Andy himself has been an active member of QF since the age of 14, where as an Explorer, he started learning valuable skills that would carry him through his career in the fire service.

Becoming an interior member at the age of 18, Andy continued the tradition in our department that his Father started many years prior, working his way though all seats of Officer. He took over as Assistant Chief on January 1, 2007 where he continued to dedicate countless hours of service to the town of Oxford. Andy was not only our Chief, he was also our brother and friend, he will be sadly missed by all.
