Oxford Girls Hoopsters Have Experience At The Helm
Stumpf Cheney is Fairfield University's all-time leading scorer
When the Oxford girls basketball team plays this season it will always have at least one thing going for it. Their head coach, Gail Stumpf Cheney will have as much playing experience as any coach she runs up against and that will definitely help the Wolverines.
Stumpf Cheney coached at Woodland and Fairfield University previously.
When she was a member of the Stags team in college, Stumpf Cheney was the all-time leading scorer at Fairfield with 1,873 points in her illustrious career. She is also second in rebounds. She played in high school at Masuk for the legendary Dave Strong.
