Oxford Man Who Killed Wife Dies In Prison: Report
The man was in the midst of a 45-year prison sentence.

OXFORD, CT — Scott Gellatly, 50, of Oxford, who was sentenced to 45 years in prison for killing his wife, Lori, 32, and injuring his mother-in-law in 2014, died on December 21, 2018, WTNH News 8 reports. The cause of death has not yet been released.
Gellatly killed Lori Gellatly, 32, at her parent's house at 43 Sioux Dr., and he shot her mother, Merry Jackson, who has had several surgeries following the incident.
The shootings occurred on May 7, 2014. Gellatly pleaded guilty to murder and attempted murder. The Gellatlys' twins, who were 18 months old at the time, were present but not injured during the shootings, the Hartford Courant reported.

Prior to the shootings, Lori Gellatly filed for a temporary restraining order from her husband, and police at the time said he forced his way into the house, shot his wife and her mother, and fled, but was apprehended after a brief manhunt, Fox 61 Ct reported at the time.
