Oxford Parks and Rec. Offers Summer Trips

Oxford Parks and Recreation still has openings for the following trips: 

Saturday, June 29th – A Taste of Boston’s Italian North End!   We will take a leisurely guided walk through the North End of Boston where you’ll have an opportunity to stop and sample delectable foods and obtain a behind the scenes look at those who craft these culinary delights.  More than enough food is included!  We also stop to visit the USS Constitution, “Old Ironsides” in the morning and we’ll end the day with some free time in Quincy Market.  $95pp

Sunday, July 7th – Tanglewood for reserved seats in the shed to see Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops with special guest, Vince Gill!  Bring your lawn chairs and a picnic lunch to enjoy before the show begins.  $75

Saturday, July 20th –Block Island! We’ll drive to Point Judith, RI to board the delightful 1 hour cruise to Old Harbor, Block Island.  After  enjoying the lunch at the famous historic National Hotel we’ll have a guided tour of this beautiful island.  There will be free time in Old Harbor to shop before we head back on the ferry.  $102pp 

Saturday, Aug 3rd – Whale Watch out of Boston Harbor on High Speed Catamaran which will get us to the feeding grounds faster to allow us plenty of time to enjoy seeing the humpback, minke and finback whales!  Upon our return to shore, we’ll go to Quincy Market for some free time on your own. $90pp adult; $82 child (3-11 years)

Saturday/Sunday August 10th and 11th – Boston Pops by the Sea!  On Saturday we’ll go to Plymouth, MA to do some touring, some shopping, enjoy a harbor cruise and dinner – we’ll be staying at the Radisson Hotel in Plymouth Harbor.  On Sunday, after a leisurely buffet breakfast at the hotel, we’ll head over to Hyannis where you’ll have the day to browse, listen to music, visit the vendors, etc before settling into your reserved seat for the 28th annual Boston Pops by the Sea Concert on the Green.  The Pops will be conducted by Keith Lockhart and there will be a surprise celebrity guest conductor as well.  We’ll return to Oxford after the concert is over.  $299pp/dbl, $379pp/sngl, $279pp/trpl
