Oxford Parks and Recreation Offers Summer Programs for Kids

Oxford Parks and Recreation announces new programs to begin on July 17.

From Oxford Parks and Recreation: Looking for something for the kids to do this summer? There is still time to register! Oxford Parks and Recreation is offering the following programs this summer:

Skyhawk’s Programs

Mini-Hawks (Soccer, Baseball & Basketball)

Multi-sports program tailored to meet your child’s age and skill level while teaching the fundamentals. Children should bring a water bottle and wear appropriate clothing, comfortable athletic shoes and sunscreen.

  • July 17th-20th
  • Ages 4-6
  • 5:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Location: Quaker Farms School, located on Great Oak Road
  • $65 – residents; $75 non-residents

Tiny Hawks (Soccer & Basketball)

  • Ages 3-4
  • 4:30-5:15 p.m.
  • Location: Quaker Farms School, located on Great Oak Road
  • $65 – residents; $75 non-residents

Marcy’s Tennis Academy

Learn the fundamentals of tennis using games and exercises that build confidence. No matter the skill level of your child, he or she will learn the correct way to hit shots, move on the court and observe the rules of the game. Each child will receive a t-shirt and an end of week progress report. Children should bring their own racket.

  • August 7th -11th
  • 9:00-10:00 a.m. for Grades K-1 and 2-5
  • 10:00 a.m.-noon for Grades 6-8
  • Location: Ryan’s Courts, located on Great Oak Road
  • Cost: $82.50 for grades K-5 and $165 for grades 6-8
  • August 7th -11th
  • 9:00-10:30 a.m. for ages 4-6
  • 9:00 a.m.-noon for ages 6-12
  • Location: Great Oak Middle School, located on Great Oak Road
  • Cost: $85 for ages 4-6 and $120 for ages 6-12

U.K. International Soccer

Provides an age appropriate soccer curriculum for children. They will learn skills development, game related drills and compete in small sided games.

Wolverine Basketball Camp (Boys)

Run by Oxford High School Head Coach Matt D’Amico as well as members of the Oxford High School Boys basketball team. Camp features daily skills breakdown, daily skill contests and daily games. Players will receive a t-shirt and should bring their own ball.

  • August 7th-10th
  • 9:00 a.m.-noon
  • Grades 1-8
  • Location: Oxford High School Gym, located on Quaker Farms Road
  • Cost: $149 resident; $159 non-resident ($115 each additional sibling + $10 for non-resident)
