Oxford Resident Rick Welsh Runs Up the Empire State Building

OXFORD, CT — Rick Welsh, a 54-year-old Oxford resident, fulfilled a long-held dream earlier this week when he ran up the Empire State Building, reports the Connecticut Post.

Welsh participated in the 40th annual Empire State Building Run-Up, one of 60 runners to climb the stairs of the 86 floors to the Observation Deck.

A physical therapist by trade, Welsh has run multiple marathons and recently climbed Mount Aconcagua in Argentina, according to the publication.
