Oxford Resident Seeks To Buy Vermont's 'Santa's Land': Report

PUTNEY, VT — Santa's Land, a holiday theme park in Putney, Vermont, has been shuttered the last couple of years following an animal cruelty case and bankruptcy, but an Oxford resident and magician is looking to buy the attraction and reopen it.

David Haversat, a co-owner of Haversat & Ewing Galleriers, used to go to the park as a child, and now he's looking to purchase it out of bankruptcy, reports the Brattleboro Reformer.

If he receives the go-ahead from the Windham County Probate Court to purchase the property, he hopes to have repairs completed and the park opened by this summer.
