Oxford Softball Gets Votes in Weekly Poll

Oxford was victorious in eight of their first eleven outings this season.

OXFORD, CT — Once again, Cheshire was a unanimous selection among voters in the weekly Connecticut high school softball poll, compiled by GameTimeCT.com.

The Rams have won nine straight games to open the season, upping their current winning streak to 36.
Oxford (8-3) did not make the top 10, but received some support from voters.
Here are the top 10, with records through April 30:

  2. Southington (7-0)
  3. Norwich Free Academy (10-1)
  4. Seymour (11-1)
  5. Holy Cross (10-1)
  6. Notre Dame-Fairfield (11-0)
  7. Stamford (10-1)
  8. Amity Regional (8-2)
  9. Glastonbury (8-0)
  10. (tie) Middletown (9-1), Masuk (10-2)

Also receiving votes: Hale Ray (11-0), Norwalk (11-1), Westhill (8-2), Griswold (11-0), Torrington (6-3), St. Paul (11-1), North Haven (8-1), RHAM (8-1), Pomperaug (10-2), Oxford (8-3), East Granby (10-1), East Haven (7-5), Fitch (8-3), South Windsor (5-3), Hand (7-2), North Branford (7-2).
