Oxford Woman Charged With Manslaughter In Death Of Infant Son: PD

Police have charged an Oxford mother with the manslaughter death of her 11-month-old son.

OXFORD, CT — Police have charged an Oxford mother with the manslaughter death of her 11-month-old son, WFSB is reporting.

Rebecca Dixon, 35, of Blue Ridge Terrace, was charged Tuesday with second-degree manslaughter after police said her son ingested his mother’s fentanyl, morphine and cocaine and died of an overdose, according to NBC Connectictut. The arrest came following an investigation into the boy's death at the home on July 6.

The death was discovered when police were called to the Oxford home on a report of a baby not breathing.
