Popular Oxford Restaurant Reopens After E. Coli Bacteria Concern
The restaurant was closed for two weeks because E. Coli bacteria was found in wells. The restaurant was not responsible for the issue.

OXFORD, CT — Rose's Family Restaurant is back in business after E. Coli bacteria was found in wells that serve Rose's Family Restaurant, The Office bar and the Kindercare Learning Center earlier this month. Rose's had been shut down for two weeks but reopened for business on Wednesday, Nov. 15.
The E. Coli bacteria issue had nothing to do with Rose's or the other businesses. In a social media post, the popular restaurant staff posted: "OK GUYS LETS TRY THIS AGAIN ROSES IS OPENING TOMORROW WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 15th REGULAR HOURS HOPEFULLY THIS IS THE LAST OF ALL THIS CONFUSION AND ALL THESE BAD THINGS HAPPENING TO US! PLEASE SHARE THIS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE SO EVERYONE GETS TO SEE IT AND WE HOPE TO SEE EVERYBODY THERE!!!"
The Republican-American has reported that a health official said it's a "serious problem" and the businesses had to be closed to ensure the public is protected. None of the businesses are responsible for the E. Coli, which likely occurred due to ongoing sewer line work in the area. The restaurant is located at 35 Old State Road.
