Power Line Repair In Oxford Results In Temporary Outage For 300
Eversource shut off power for about two hours Tuesday in the Quaker Farms Road area to repair twisted utility lines.

OXFORD, CT — Three-hundred Oxford residents were temporarily without power Tuesday after Eversource shut off their electricity to make repairs to utility lines.
According to First Selectman George Temple, the affected residents were in the Quaker Farms Road area, and they were without power from about 12:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
"We have discovered two of our mainline cables have become twisted, and we will be unrolling them," Temple said in a statement.
