Spider Causes Fiery Crash In Oxford: Report
A spider was blamed for causing a fiery crash on Route 34 in Oxford.
OXFORD, CT — A spider is being blamed for causing a fiery crash early Tuesday morning on Route 34 in Oxford, according to the Waterbury Republican-American.
The Republican-American reports Gina Greene, 22, of Ansonia, was distracted by a spider that fell into her lap, and she ended up crashing her SUV through a guardrail and then went down an embankment and hit two trees. She was helped out of her vehicle by another motorist before it burst into flames.
Greene didn’t appear to be injured and was taken to the hospital for evaluation, according to the Republican-American.
