See what you can do in Oxford this week.

Check out what's happening in and around Oxford this week:

  • Join us on Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 6-8 p.m. in the meeting room of the Town Hall for a wonderful program “Views of Nature from a Kayak." In this Oxford Library-sponsored event, you will explore rivers, ponds and streams in New England with our photographer guide, Jeff Feldmann, to see nature’s beautiful and unique animals, birds and reptiles. View moose and loons, snakes and butterflies, eagles and frogs on a slow steady summer journey by kayak.
  • Area children can meet an African Sulcata tortoise, a hognose snake, a Softshelled turtle, giant Cane Toads, and more underground creatures in Woodbury on Friday.
  • Blueberry Pie Eating Contest: Celebrate summer with a pie eating contest for kids ages 6-11! The event starts at 1 p.m. on Aug. 16, with sign in for contestants at 12:15pm. Registration is required.
