Weenie Roast, Children's Library Events This Week in Oxford

Plus check out a big carnival nearby.

Monday

Every Monday at the Oxford Public Library, children can participate in Craft Day from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Free crafts are appropriate for all ages and are distributed on a first come, first served basis.

Tuesday

At 10:30 a.m. at the Oxford Public Library, Jean Mai will lead Science Snoopers: Being Nosy! Children, ages 3-7, will sniff out the truth about noses belonging to a wide variety of animals. Science Snoopers events will also be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6 and Tuesday, Aug. 13. Separate registration is required for each Science Snoopers program.

Oxford Night Beach Party and Weenie Roast will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Jackson Cove. DJ Kenny will once again be playing the fun summer tunes while we cook up the hot dogs (while they last). Bring your own sides and a blanket and have a picnic on the beach!

Wednesday

At 10:30 a.m. children of all ages are invited to watch Curious George cartoons at the Oxford Public Library. No registration is required.

Carnival @ the Orange Fairgrounds: A summer tradition of family fun returns Thursday with the first day of the Orange Volunteer Firemen's Carnival. Featuring rides, food, fireworks and more, the carnival takes place Aug. 1, 2, 3 and 4. Hours vary each day so check out the OVFD's website for more information.
