21-Year-Old Ridgefield Man Arrested for Assault, Attempted Murder

A Ridgefield man was arrested for first degree assault and criminal attempt to commit murder.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Police Department responded to a family violence incident at a Ridgefield residence on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at approximately 4:25 p.m., according to Ridgefield Police Major StephenBrown. Upon arrival officers found an adult female with injuries sustained from blunt force trauma. Officers said they gave the victim medical assistance and she was transported to Danbury Hospital and later released.

An investigation revealed that the victim had been physically assaulted by Griffin Lovallo, 21, of Ridgefield. Lovallo was arrested for first degree assault and criminal attempt to commit murder. Lovallo was held on a $1,000,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on November 25, 2016.

In order to protect the victim’s identity, the Ridgefield Police Department said they will not be releasing any further information.
