The Aldrich In Ridgefield Scores $75K From Andy Warhol Foundation

The Andy Warhol Foundation has awarded The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield $75,000 to support its 2022 exhibitions program.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts has awarded The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield $75,000 to support its 2022 exhibitions program.

The funds will help realize three exhibitions: the group exhibition 52 Artists: Revisiting a Feminist Milestone, and two solo exhibitions by artists Milano Chow and Duane Slick, according to a news release from the museum.

"The Foundation’s artist-centric focus is in perfect alignment with the Museum’s programming and we are incredibly grateful for their generous grant,” said Cybele Maylone, The Aldrich’s executive director.

In accordance with Andy Warhol’s will, the mission of The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts is the advancement of the visual arts. The foundation manages a grants program while also preserving Warhol’s legacy through licensing policies and research for ongoing catalogue raisonné projects. To date, the foundation has given nearly $250 million in cash grants to over 1,000 arts organizations in 49 states and abroad and has donated 52,786 works of art to 322 institutions worldwide.
