Another Car Broken Into at Ridgefield Daycare: Police

Ridgefield police said a smash and grab occurred at a local daycare facility on Thursday morning.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Captain Jeff Kreitz, Public Information Officer of the Ridgefield Police Department, said another larceny from a motor vehicle occurred just weeks after two others in the area. The Ridgefield Police Department is investigating the additional larceny from a motor vehicle at a local childcare facility that occurred on December 1, 2016 at approximately 8 a.m.

Police said an individual, or individuals, broke a window on the vehicle and stole a pocketbook. A possible suspect vehicle is a silver or gray SUV. Police are are still investigating two similar incidents which occurred on November 10, 2016. In those instances, the thieves stole purses from vehicles that had their doors unlocked while dropping off their children at the daycare.
