Coronavirus CT: Hospitalizations, Positivity Rates, Up Slightly

Hospitalizations and the state positivity rate both rose slightly in the latest set of daily coronavirus numbers released by Connecticut DPH

CONNECTICUT — Hospitalizations and the positivity rate both rose slightly in the latest set of daily coronavirus numbers provided by the state Department of Public Health.

An additional 417 cases of the coronavirus were confirmed Monday in the state, bringing that total to 340,962. With 13,833 tests reported, the daily positivity rate now sits at 3.01 percent, up 1.23 percent from the previous day.

Hospitalizations rose by one bed overnight, according to the state Department of Public Health. That brings the number of those hospitalized with the virus to 343.

Coronavirus-associated deaths across the state rose by five on Monday. The COVID-19 death toll in Connecticut now stands at 8,117.
