CONNECTICUT —The coronavirus positivity and hospitality rates moved up slightly in the past 24 hours, but both of the critical infection indices remain the lowest they have been in around eight months.
Gov. Ned Lamont declared an "interim victory" over the pandemic during a news conference Thursday, anticipating flare-ups to occur come the fall and winter.

An additional 157 cases of the coronavirus were confirmed in the state, bringing that total to 347,137. With 14,823 tests reported, the daily positivity rate now sits at 1.06 percent.

The town of Lyme has the highest percentage of its residents fully vaccinated, at 71.11 percent. Canaan has the highest percentage (86.80 percent) of its population with at least one dose under their belts.

Reported hospitalizations rose by just one bed, according to the state Department of Public Health. That brings the number of those hospitalized with the virus to 123.
Coronavirus-associated deaths across the state rose by three on Thursday. The COVID-19 death toll in Connecticut now stands at 8,230.
