Danbury Police Charge one from Ridgefield

Danbury Police Officers stopped Michael Robinson, 20, of Ridgefield, at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday for driving down Padanaram Road without his headlights on. Police said they smelled alcohol while talking to Robinson. He failed the field sobriety tests. Police charged Robinson with driving as a person under 21 years of age with a blood alcohol content that exceeded two-hundredths of one percent. He was charged with failure to illuminate headlights and possession of alcohol by a minor on a public street or highway. Robinson was released on a $500 bond with a court date scheduled for Sept. 12. 

This information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
