Obituary for Diana Louise Lanza-Deicklet, 52, of Ridgefield.

 

Diana Louise Lanza-Deickler, 52 of Ridgefield, CT died suddenly July 25, 2012. She was born February 15, 1960 in Hartford, CT. A graduate of Wethersfield High School, she received a degree in Fine Arts from Central Connecticut State University and was owner of Custom Glass Studios in Ridgefield.

Diana is survived by her husband William Deickler, daughters Amanda and Stephanie of Ridgefield and parents Louis and Betsy Lanza of Wethersfield. She also leaves her brother James Lanza and wife Charlene of Rocky Hill, sister Deborah Lanza-Brom of Cheshire, sister Alicia Indomenico and husband Franco of Glastonbury, and brother Gregory Lanza of Wethersfield; in-laws Barry and Judith Deickler of Wingdale, NY, Kathy Deickler and Steve Dyer of Lincoln, MA, Beverly Deickler and Colin Harley of Woodbury, Leigh Deickler and Victor Cassarino of Hebron in addition to several nieces and nephews.

Diana was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and daughter whose love and generosity extended far beyond family. Her home was always open and became the center for most family gatherings. Her area of expertise was stained glass but she displayed great artistic talents in all aspects of her life. Family and friends all admired Diana’s charisma and loving nature. She always put others before herself and touched people’s lives in a positive way.

The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield, CT on Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 2 PM to 5 PM.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, July 30 at Ethan Allen Hotel, 21 Lake Avenue Ext., Danbury.
