Driver Injured In Ridgefield Truck Explosion
The cause of the explosion at 590 Danbury Road is under investigation by the Ridgefield Fire Marshal's Office.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — A driver was injured and the truck he was driving badly damaged in an explosion Saturday morning.
The Ridgefield Police Department responded to the report of an explosion at 590 Danbury Road shortly before 9:00 Saturday morning.
First responders found a service truck on fire in the parking lot. Crews from both the Ridgefield Professional Firefighters and Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department quickly extinguished the blaze, while the Ridgefield Fire Police assisted with traffic control, fire officials said.

The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
