Farm to Table Dinner, Local Author Reading, It's What to Do in Ridgefield Thursday

The Ridgefield Academy is hosting a Farm to Table Dinner Thursday evening that is worth a taste. The dinner takes place at the scenic grounds of Ridgefield Academy, 223 West Mountain Road, a view many describe as the best in Fairfield County. This open-air dining experience takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A superb menu prepared with the freshest local ingredients will be served by Chef Paul Desiano (formerly of Cello Restaurant, Ridgefield), and local farmers will speak briefly about what farm-to-table means and why it is important.

The Ridgefield Library is hosting a local author reading. Author Chris Belden will read from his prize-winning short story collection, followed by acclaimed poet Gil Fagiani. The reading takes place at 7 p.m. in the library's current location at 21 Governor St.
